We are happy and proud to announce that the next Artist-in-Residence of Poznan Philharmonic in the season which marks the 70th anniversary of our institution is Rafał Blechacz. After prominent artists from abroad: Bertrand Chamayou and Nikolaj Znaider, the extraordinary artist honoured us with accepting this position. He is one of the most recognizable and valued Polish musicians, an icon of Polish Piano Art, who inspires with his craft and personality, and at the same time an artist who rarely performs in his own country.

We feel privileged that as a gift for the 70th anniversary of Poznan Philharmonic Rafał Blechacz will present our audience and guests a rendition of Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto in F minor, Op. 21. Meanwhile, in Spring 2018 he will perform Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major KV 488 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, under the baton of Paul McCreesh, as well as give a Sonata evening along with the audience favourite of the 15th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, now an artistic jewel of numerous prestigious concert halls – Bomsori Kim.

We are looking forward to these unique events and we encourage you to become acquainted with the whole program of the artistic season 2017/2018. Feel already invited to our concerts.
